<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If there is one dessert I could make again and again once fruit is in season, it is crumble.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">There is just something about warm fruit underneath a golden, slightly crisp topping that feels so simple but still like a proper dessert. And honestly, that is exactly the kind of recipe I love most: easy ingredients, barely any prep, and something really good at the end.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/3-Crumble-Toppings-edited-768x1024.jpg" alt="Homemade crumble topping with ice cream and fruit for dessert." class="wp-image-12416" style="aspect-ratio:0.6669871061264973;width:387px;height:auto" srcset="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/3-Crumble-Toppings-edited-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/3-Crumble-Toppings-edited-225x300.jpg 225w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/3-Crumble-Toppings-edited-9x12.jpg 9w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/3-Crumble-Toppings-edited-600x800.jpg 600w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/3-Crumble-Toppings-edited.jpg 1000w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These <strong>crumble topping recipes</strong> are all small batch recipes made for two, so you can make them whenever you have a few apples, peaches, or plums at home without ending up with a huge baking dish of leftovers.</p>

<blockquote class="wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow">

</blockquote>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The basic crumble is almost the same every time. What changes is the fruit underneath – and somehow that makes each version taste completely different.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Three Easy Fruit Crumbles to Try</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For all three recipes, I use a simple crumble made with whole wheat flour, a little butter or nut butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nothing complicated, nothing you need to prepare hours before. Just mix everything together, sprinkle it over your fruit, and let the oven do the rest.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">All three are also baked at <strong>320°F (160°C) for around 15 minutes</strong>, which makes them one of my favorite quick desserts when I want something warm but do not feel like actually baking a cake. You can bake the recipes in the oven or air fryer. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Easy Apple Crumble</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Apple crumble is probably the most classic one of the three – and for good reason.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-apple-crumble-5-edited-768x1024.jpg" alt="Homemade apple crumble in a small bowl with a spoon for two." class="wp-image-12270" srcset="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-apple-crumble-5-edited-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-apple-crumble-5-edited-225x300.jpg 225w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-apple-crumble-5-edited-9x12.jpg 9w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-apple-crumble-5-edited-600x800.jpg 600w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-apple-crumble-5-edited.jpg 1026w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Warm apples and cinnamon are just one of those combinations that always work. The apples soften in the oven while still keeping a little texture, and the crumble on top turns lightly golden.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My <a href="/easy-apple-crumble/"><strong>easy apple crumble</strong></a> is made with two small apples and makes exactly two portions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I especially love this one in fall when I want something warm after dinner. Add a little Greek yogurt on top while the crumble is still warm and it is so good.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Easy Peach Crumble</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The peach version is the one I want in summer.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ripe peaches already have so much sweetness on their own, so you really do not need to do much to them. Once baked, they become soft and juicy and almost create their own little sauce underneath the crumble.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited-1024x768.jpg" alt="Small batch peach crumble with fresh peaches in a white bowl." class="wp-image-12234" srcset="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited-300x225.jpg 300w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited-768x576.jpg 768w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited-16x12.jpg 16w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited-500x375.jpg 500w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited-600x450.jpg 600w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-easy-peach-crumble-3-edited.jpg 1153w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My <a href="/easy-peach-crumble/"><strong>easy peach crumble</strong></a> only needs two peaches and a handful of ingredients for the topping.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This one feels a little lighter and fresher than apple crumble, especially when the peaches are really good and in season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you have peaches sitting on your counter that are finally perfectly ripe, this is exactly what I would make with them.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Easy Plum Crumble</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Plum crumble is probably the most underrated of the three.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Plums become incredibly juicy once baked, but they still keep a little tartness, which works so well with the slightly sweet crumble on top.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-recipe-for-plum-crumble-6-edited-768x1024.jpg" alt="Close-up of plum crumble in a white bowl with fresh plums nearby." class="wp-image-12256" srcset="https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-recipe-for-plum-crumble-6-edited-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-recipe-for-plum-crumble-6-edited-225x300.jpg 225w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-recipe-for-plum-crumble-6-edited-9x12.jpg 9w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-recipe-for-plum-crumble-6-edited-600x800.jpg 600w, https://getfitandfocus.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Edited-recipe-for-plum-crumble-6-edited.jpg 1153w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My <a href="/recipe-for-plum-crumble/"><strong>recipe for plum crumble</strong></a> is another small batch version made for two and uses eight small plums.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I especially like this one toward the end of summer when plum season starts and I am slowly getting into all the cozy fall recipes but it is technically still warm outside.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Simple Crumble Topping I Use</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The best thing about these recipes is that you really do not need a complicated crumble mixture.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I use whole wheat flour, butter or nut butter, maple syrup, a little brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mix everything together until you get little crumbs. It does not need to look perfect – actually, I like it better when there are a few bigger pieces mixed in.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If the mixture looks too wet or sticky, just add a little more flour until it becomes crumbly.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And that is basically it.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Butter or Nut Butter?</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I have made these with different options depending on what I have at home.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Regular butter gives you the most classic crumble flavor, but low-fat butter, margarine, or nut butter also work.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nut butter makes the topping taste slightly nuttier and can make the mixture a little softer, so you might need a tiny bit more flour.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I actually like having that flexibility because this is supposed to be one of those recipes you can make without needing a special grocery run first.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Want More Crunch? Add Oats</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you prefer your crumble extra crunchy, oats are such a good addition.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I have a separate <a href="https://getfitandfocus.com/easy-crumble-recipe/"><strong>easy crumble recipe with oats</strong></a> made with rolled oats, soy flakes, almonds, maple syrup, and a little protein powder.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That one is baked separately, which makes it really useful beyond fruit crumbles too.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I use it on yogurt bowls, baked fruit, breakfast, or honestly just whenever something needs a little crunch.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Which Crumble Should You Make?</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Honestly, I would just go by the fruit you have at home.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you have apples, make the apple crumble. If it is summer and you have really good peaches, make the peach version. And if you see those small ripe plums at the store, definitely give the plum crumble a try.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That is what I like most about crumble recipes in general. You do not need to overthink them.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The topping stays simple and the fruit does most of the work.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">My Favorite Way to Serve Them</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I like all three crumbles best slightly warm.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You can absolutely eat them on their own, but I usually add a little low-fat Greek yogurt on top.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The cold yogurt with the warm fruit and crumble is probably my favorite part. It makes everything creamy without turning it into a really heavy dessert.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And if you are making one for breakfast or as a snack instead of dessert, Greek yogurt also fits really well.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">One Basic Recipe, Three Completely Different Desserts</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">That is probably why I like these <strong>crumble topping recipes</strong> so much.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">You learn one really simple crumble topping, and from there you can basically use whatever fruit is in season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Apple is warm and classic, peach is soft and juicy, and plum has that slightly tart flavor that balances the sweet topping so well.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Same basic idea, completely different result.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Final Thoughts</h2>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you want an easy dessert that does not require much planning, crumble is always a good idea.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These three recipes are all quick, made for two, and easy enough to throw together with ingredients you probably already have at home.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Start with whichever fruit is in your kitchen right now and go from there.</p>
