Ingredients

  • 2 peaches
  • 1 tbsp butter (margarine, low-fat butter, or nut butter)
  • 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Wash the peaches, remove the stones, and cut them into small slices or pieces.
  2. Add the peaches to a small oven-safe baking dish and spread them into an even layer.
  3. Add the whole wheat flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a small bowl.
  4. Add the butter or nut butter and maple syrup and mix until small crumbles form.
  5. If the mixture is too soft or wet, add a little more flour until you get a crumbly texture.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the peaches.
  7. Bake at 320°F (160°C) for about 15 minutes, until the peaches are soft and the crumble topping is lightly golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm, optionally topped with Greek yogurt.
  9. Optional: 2 tbsp low-fat Greek yogurt, for serving

Notes

Peaches: Use ripe but still firm peaches for the best texture.
Butter: Low-fat butter or nut butter can be used instead of regular butter.
