  • 1 large egg (50 g)
  • 2 medium ripe bananas (peeled (200 g))
  • 1/2 packet vanilla sugar (4 g or 1/2 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 1/6 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp baking powder

  3. Blend for about 5 to 10 seconds until smooth. Do not over blend.
  4. Preheat the waffle maker and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  5. Pour the batter into the waffle maker.
  6. Cook until the waffles are golden brown and cooked through. This usually takes about 4 to 6 minutes, depending on your waffle maker.
  7. Carefully remove the waffles and place them on a wire rack.
  8. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  9. Serve warm with fruit, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, or maple syrup.

Equipment

  • blender
  • Waffle Maker

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas with brown spots for the best natural sweetness.
  • Do not over blend the batter, or the waffles can become dense.
  • Banana batter can stick, so grease the waffle maker well.
  • For crispier waffles, cook them slightly longer and place them on a wire rack after cooking.
  • You can use vanilla extract instead of vanilla sugar.
  • Let waffles cool completely before freezing.
